M-Net’s Magic in Motion Academy plays a critical role in developing skills in the film and TV industry and empowering the next generation of storytellers. It gives young South Africans on-the-job training and the opportunity to work with experienced producers for hands-on experience.
Each day, we lose three rhinos to poaching. Our African Elephant numbers decline by 8% annually, and cheetah populations have diminished by 30% over the past 15 years. Cybersecurity experts, Irdeto, have teamed up with the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) in an effort to track wildlife crime online and thereby disrupt the illegal animal trade economy. The partnership will also work with local law enforcement; providing key forensic data to help locate these reprehensible criminals.
